Our approach to your project differs from the usual plan and spec process in that the key components, Including budget, are defined and coordinated before the process is begun. We utilize a team approach which provides a lower cost project completed in less time with better results. CTS project will have fewer changes because we provide the design and are responsible for making sure there will be no unforeseen design changes. Our design/building projects are completed faster since we can start key elements while other aspects are still being designed. We typically cut the time to complete by one third. This means you get your building when you need it. Our services even predict the energy and maintenance costs for your facility after the project is complete.

The traditional plan and spec process begins when the owner hires an architect, specifications are written and contractors bid on the project. Because contractors must be low bidders to be awarded the project, many find holes in the design and make up their profit in costly change orders to the customer. Many plan and spec projects go over budget forcing the customer to cut key elements out of the design. Longer construction periods are also a factor with traditional construction projects since no work can start until the entire project is completely designed and bid packages assembles. After the work is complete, the client is on their own when it comes to operating and maintaining their facility. The cost for energy and maintenance is a mystery.
